A Safe Shield battery, hydraulic disc brakes, radar detection, and torque sensor deliver a ride so smooth and commanding, you’ll never want to ride anything else. Too heavy Hard to maneuver I’ve got the regular runner and I still think I preferred over this high tech runner. The high-tech features are nice especially unlocking and locking the vehicle with your phone. Radar is great. Just really hard to maneuver off the road and on the road y’all should give me it for free. Cost a little bit too much for what it isn’t.

Obsessed. My new ride-or-die. I’ve had my RadRunner Max for about three months and I’m still completely in love. It’s smooth, sturdy, and turns heads every time I ride. I use it constantly around Nashville and even rented the exact same one during my recent trip to Park City because I love it that much. The suspension is amazing, the passenger seat and pegs are perfect for bringing friends, and with the added-on accessories like the large front basket and center console, I can haul groceries, gear, and coffee runs with ease. The Range Extender has been a total game changer for longer days out so I never worry about running out of battery. This bike is the most fun and functional ride I’ve ever owned. If you're thinking about getting one, just do it.

Great bike just don’t store it outside. Been a good bike AFTER we figured out you can’t leave the battery on the bike in the summer. If you are storing this bike outside during the summer the battery will brick on you and the bike will be worthless. The first summer we had no ideal , so we thought the bike was a total loss. 3 months go by it starts to cool down and boom the bike works again. Now my son brings the battery in every day and charges it in his room. Since then the bike has been fantastic. But that is a major problem we have had to work around and shouldn’t have too.

I came off a radwagon I came off a radwagon 4. What a great upgrade. Far more maneuverable with the shorter length. Better git and go for hills and stop lights. Range better. Hopefully I’ll never use the LoJack feature.

Fantastic Bike! My wife and I purchase 2 RadRunners last summer and they are Fantastic Bikes! We ride them everywhere and the power and run time out preform our previous ebikes and our friend's ebikes. If you want quality, power and outstanding customer service then purchase your next Ebike form Rad Power Bikes!

Great Bike for the Money I love the flexibility of this bike. I got a small basket up front and a big basket out back. When I want exercise I set the assist to level one. When I'm tired, or it's hot I set the assist to 3 and soft pedal. If I ride where there are no bike lanes and I want to keep up with traffic, level 5 and full steam from the pedals. I've got over 400 miles on it so far and Winter is on the way. We'll see how it does in Montana Winters.

Not happy with the battery Not happy with the battery life we have a radwagon and older rad bikes that last longer. These have left me stranded a few times w dead batteries. Battery drops fast when it gets to 60percent. So not to happy with them. I thought buying these higher end rads would give us more range. They didn’t

RadRunner Max This bike is solid and rides really smoothly. A passenger can ride comfortably behind and I highly recommend the passenger handle behind the seat post. My only complaint is that it super heavy and hard to maneuver when pushing it, lifting up curbs, or stowing it.

Best E Bike I have ever had Just added the max to our fleet. This is now the preferred bike in the family. Smooth ride, accessories complement and it is lighter than our Wagon 5. Can't recommend enough!

Putting the Rad in RadRunner Max I am in love with this bike! It's my first E-Bike, so I don't have a lot of basis for comparison, but the bike feels so incredibly responsive to almost any situation I've put it in so far. My son also loves riding on the back, and it is fast becoming our preferred mode of transport.

RadRunner Max a Major Upgrade To Version 2 Runner I had my Version 2 RadRunner for over 5 years and absolutely loved it! During those years, I built a mental list of upgrades I thought would improve the bike, and the Runner Max delivers on virtually all of them: 1. Speed. It's Faster! Class C = 28MPH vs V2's 20MPH 2. Drivetrain. 8 speed cassette & shifter vs Single speed freewheel = can still ride the Max if battery runs out. This was almost impossible on the V2. 3. Breaking power. Hydraulic upgrade on Max is super solid and a shorter stop from high speeds 4. Ride. The Max's stock front Shocks tame harsh terrain (I also added a suspension seat post and highly recommend, the friggin' thing rides like a Cadillac) 5. Seat. I had upgraded the saddle on my version 2 from the original to the enhanced one Rad offered, but it was still never great for longer rides. The stock saddle on the max is much better for my buns. Nevertheless I will likely upgrade it later, but it's a much better starting point. 6. Tires. The stock tires on the Max are better on wet streets than the knobbies that came with V2 yet still handle well on gravel etc. 7. Lights. I upgraded the headlight on my V2 twice but the stock headlight on the Max with low/high beam feature is the best quality light they've offered yet. Also appreciate the integration of tail light into rear fender. 8. Pedals. Max's stock pedals are better quality than those on the V2 9. Control Panel. The Max's control panel and myriad safety and other features are lightyears ahead of the V2 which lacked even a speedometer/odometer. 10. Wheels. The Max's wheel mounts are superior in both strength, and ease of use. When that inevitable puncture occurs, tube replacement will be much less of a fight. 11. Battery. The Max's battery mounting point in the frame is a much more convenient and ergonomic location than on the V2. So, Why not give the Max 5 stars. . . ? 1. Battery/range. The published range of 60+ miles is a gross exaggeration. Maybe it's possible under strictly controled conditions, but I still doubt it. The bike is heavy to begin. With cargo and my 185lb body added, the weight and drag cut that range projection by more than half. Recently, limiting pedal assist to levels 1 and 2, I rode 24 fairly flat miles with 2 loaded hardshell panniers and a 4 person tent in tow. When I reached my destination, the remaining range was estimated at 3 miles. Woof. While I don’t expect miracles, this is a cargo bike and should be able to take some weight over a distance. As this tech continues to evolve, I hope that Rad will continue to improve the real world range and not just post fluffy numbers from a lab. 2. Weight. Did I mention this bike is heavy? It’s also a bit longer than the V2 Runner which in my estimation adds up to a more solid connection with the road and the increased payload capacity, but does make it a bit of a beast to maneuver through the urban obstacles I encounter regularly. I guess it’ll keep me from slacking off my exercise routine. 3. Communication. I purchased the Max through Rad’s website as I had previously with the V2 Runner. At no point during the transaction did the website refer to this sale as a “pre-order” but it turns out that’s what it was. In fact I did not learn of the pre-order status until my chosen accessories shipped and the bike didn’t. I called to inquire about arrival time and they couldn’t pinpoint one. The agent offered me the option to cancel the order or just continue waiting. Obviously I chose to wait, but this felt shady to me. Like they needed to take my money to get to a point where they could produce the bike but didn’t want to say so. Whatever the reality, this interaction was a dark spot on my otherwise unblemished opinion of Rad as a company. To complicate things, I had already arranged a buyer for my used V2, and was forced to stall that transaction. Luckily the buyer was able to wait to take delivery or I would have been out a bike for the several weeks it took to receive the Max shipment. I don’t own a car and this would’ve really jammed me up. What’s more, In the time while I was waiting for the Max to arrive I had a major blowout on one of the V2’s tires that led me to have to replace both tires before the sale, cutting significantly into my bottom line. All of this to say, In an increasingly competitive market, it would serve Rad well to come correct with BOTH a quality product AND top notch customer service. Just be honest! that way I can keep telling people to shop Rad while doing so myself.

New Favorite Bike I love this bike, the torque sensor is incredible and responsive, the radar helps me feel safe when riding in the street, and I love the locking display, that with the fat tire wheel lock is a great combination.

No color options The improvements are great, but I can only give 5 stars because of the color. I’d upgrade from the RR3+ only if it comes in the same amazing color as before - Charcoal.
